D0003 - Soften Your Gaze
Soften your gaze
- To physically relax your eyes, allowing them to lose focus.
- Think of what happens automatically when your body zones out; your eyes are open, but you're not looking at or seeing anything.
- This can be helpful when meditation with closed eyes doesn't provide enough stimulation to maintain your focus, or when performing a mindfulness technique in public and closing your eyes would be socially inappropriate (e.g., a conversation, a meeting, etc.).
